It was with great honor and pleasure that last July Frederique Constant announced its participation in the “ONLY WATCH 2011” Charity Auction, held in Monte-Carlo on Thursday, September 23rd, 2011, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Watch aficionados and representatives of the world’s most prestigious watch manufacturers gathered to witness the third edition of this exceptional auction. All participating brands contributed to raise funds for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a serious genetic disease that affects one out of 3'500 boys born, by donating a unique timepiece for the event.

The interest in this prestigious auction was overwhelming, hence a large number of bidders bidders from all over the world competed live, via the Internet and over the phone.

Frédérique Constant’s contributing lot for this year was a unique Family Set composed of four timepieces, one for each member of a family: the father will receive a ‘Maxime Manufacture Automatic’ in 18-carat pink gold with a delicate silver sunray dial and brown leather strap, while mother receives a supremely elegant ‘Amour Heart Beat Ladies Automatic’ watch in 18-carat pink gold with vanilla finish. The children won’t feel left out, as they will be able to sport their very first Swiss watch, designed to fit them perfectly. The ‘Frederique Constant Junior Lady’ in steel with a diamond-set bezel is for a daughter in search of the perfect accessory, while the ‘Frederique Constant Junior Chronograph’ with its silver dial and eye-catching red hour markers will appeal to the son. Naturally, each of these four timepieces have the words, ‘Only Watch 2011 – Family Set Unique Piece’ engraved on their case backs. The watches came together in a single, beautifully handcrafted family box, bearing an engraved plaque commemorating ONLY WATCH 2011.

The unique Frédérique Constant family Set went under the hammer for Euro 22'000.-, while it was estimated between 13'000 - 18'000 Euro.

Frederique Constant was truly honored to participate in this unique project, and we are happy to be able to contribute to this worthy cause in such a truly creative and inspiring manner.
