Maxime Manufacture Automatic Silicium & Maxime Manufacture Automatic Lady Chocolate

September 2011 – Geneva
Frédérique Constant Genève proudly introduces two additions to its signature Maxime Manufacture Automatic Collection, one for each gender: the technically advanced Maxime Manufacture Automatic Silicium (Silicon) and the elegant Maxime Manufacture Automatic Lady Chocolate. In 2009, Frédérique Constant unveiled the Maxime Manufacture Automatic for the first time. The success of the collection is evident, and no surprise. With its high-end finishing and an in-house manufactured FC-700 caliber movement, the Maxime Collection displays an impressive level of sophistication through innovative design and technology.

In 2004, Frédérique Constant joined the elite circle of Swiss watch brands that develop and produce their movements in-house. After the successful introduction of the iconic Heart Beat Manufacture Collections, the innovative Geneva-based brand created the surprise of BaselWorld 2008 by presenting its first Tourbillon Manufacture movement. Continuing down the path of developing Manufacture calibers, and bringing the creation and production of its calibers in-house, Frédérique Constant presented the new Maxime Manufacture Automatic range in 2009: a series of classical yet contemporary watches conceived in-house and developed with passion and eye-for-detail.

The new Maxime Manufacture Automatic with Silicium (Silicon) escapement comes in a limited edition of just 888 pieces. While the current models feature a silver dial, this limited edition piece is adorned with an elegant charcoal grey dial with a sunray “guilloché” decoration in the center. Other specs that matter: water-resistant to 5 ATM, convex sapphire crystal, see-through case-back, hand polished hands and indexes, and date indicator at 6 o’clock.

Silicium (silicon) used for the escapement provides three key advantages for watch manufacturing: lubricant-free running, ultra light-weight (low inertia), good friction properties. As a result these properties allow for higher performance in comparison to other less sophisticated escapement systems. At the base of the movement is a delicate and refined Perlage & Sunray Côtes de Genève decoration. Each movement is individually numbered.

The new feminine timepiece offers a delicate and gourmet Chocolate dial version. The Maxime Manufacture Lady is a watch that will not just match, but surpass women’s expectations.
With the FC-700 Manufacture automatic movement at its heart, the 39mm case forms a harmonious mix of polished and brushed parts.  Available in a stainless steel with an 18K Rose-gold top-ring set with 52 diamonds (0.8crt) utilizing fine chocolate mother-of-pearl for the dial with 6 diamond indexes (.05crt), day counter at 6 o’clock, polished and hand applied Arabic figures, and a central finely decorated “sunray” guilloché pattern. All united on a brown alligator strap or a grey satin strap with a quick release pin and crest-folding buckle.

With these new models, Frédérique Constant once again capitalizes on its key brand values, offering high quality, innovative timepieces at an accessible price point.
